Here are your current local scrap salvage copper reports from local scrap metal buyers. These are prices being paid by scrap yards, not some foreign metals exchange price. Check your local scrap yard for prices as they may vary a little, but these should be a very good guideline:

North USA:

Bright Bare Copper – $2.90/lb

#1 Copper  – $2.70/lb

#2 Copper – $2.50/lb.

#3 Copper – $2.30/lb.

Brass – $1.60/lb

Insulated Copper Wire – $.90/lb

West USA:

#1 Copper – $2.85/lb

#2 Copper – $2.70/lb

Brass – $1.75/lb

Insulated Copper Wire – $0.75
