Here is some current scrap copper and copper-comprised materials for certain local areas of the US for 10/11/11. These copper prices are only tallied from a few different scrap metal yards, so your pricing may be different:

Eastern USA:

Bright Bare Copper – $2.70/lb

#1 Copper  – $2.45/lb

#2 Copper – $2.25/lb.

#3 Copper – $2.10/lb.

Brass – $1.40/lb

Insulated Copper Wire – $.80/lb

North USA:

#1 Copper – $2.40/lb

#2 Copper – $2.00/lb

Brass – $1.20/lb

Insulated Copper Wire – $0.75
